Noble, Toyota and Yamaha
The BLOODHOUND SSC project is a three year mission to create the fastest car the world has ever seen- one capable of braking the 1000mph barrier. That's five times faster than an F1 racing car and even quicker than the bullet fired from a Magnum .357 pistol. With a Eurofighter jet engine now being positioned above a hybrid rocket the car has reached it design 'lockdown' and the hardwork taking it through to production starts. The team expects to start running the vehicle on the Hakskeen Pan, Northern Cape Province, South Africa, in 2011.
Curventa have been working with Richard Noble from the very start helping Ron Ayres develop his designs into 3D data and photorealistic images for marketing materials and capital finance. We are one of the first product sponsors of the BLOOHOUND SSC project and continue to proudly support this project.
Scootchi was designed for Yamaha in 2001 to benchmark our internal development team against their in-house design department. The result is a concept design taken from sketch to CAD and visualised in 3 weeks ! Scootchi won the Solidworks 2003 design award.
Toyota approached Curventa back in 2002 to develop a quick concept car base around a front engine, rear wheel drive configuration. Drawing upon classic British cars of the 1960's our technology and development process produced this model 3x faster than their existing development techniques!. The car remains a concept, but we are always keen to produce new ideas for other automotive partners.
